This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage, SDKs) are used on effort.giving. It forms part of the Privacy Policy. The platform is operated by EffortX Labs Pte. Ltd. on behalf of EffortX Foundation Ltd.
1. Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Login sessions, security, fraud prevention. Always on. The platform cannot work without them.
Performance and analytics
How visitors use the platform (pages, interactions, errors), to improve it. Consent-gated where the law requires.
Functional
Your preferences (language, region, saved form inputs). Disabling reduces convenience.
Advertising and measurement
Campaign effectiveness measurement (see Meta Pixel below). Consent-gated where the law requires. Never used to sell your data.

Meta Pixel, specific commitments
The pixel is consent-gated for visitors from the EU/UK and other consent-required jurisdictions via our consent tool. We do not pass donation amounts, donor identities, or partner payment data to Meta.
Cookiebot is named here as our consent-management tool but is not currently active. We update this table whenever the technology stack changes.
3. Your choices
Use the cookie banner (where shown) to accept or reject non-essential cookies, and change your choice anytime via cookie settings. You can also block cookies in your browser (see aboutcookies.org). Core features may still require strictly-necessary cookies.
4. Legal frameworks
Consent for non-essential cookies is collected where required (GDPR/UK GDPR and similar regimes). Personal information collected via cookies is handled under the Privacy Policy, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) for donor-related data and UU 27/2022 (PDP) where it applies to Indonesian residents. Data processed by US providers involves overseas disclosure as described in Privacy Policy section 5.

We update this policy when the technology stack changes. The table above is the source of truth.
